HSBC Private Equity (Asia) Limited (“HPEA”) is the Asian private equity arm of the HSBC Group. HPEA advised its first Asian fund in 1989. During its history, HPEA has advised funds with aggregate capital of approximately USD3.3 billion. HPEA is an active adviser that works closely with portfolio companies to achieve strong business and investment results. Funds advised by HPEA have invested approximately USD2 billion in over 130 Asian companies。
HPEA advises expansion capital and buyout-focused funds (Private Equity Funds) and technology-focused funds (Venture Funds). Over its history, HPEA has advised six Private Equity Funds and three Venture Funds. The Private Equity Funds focus on mid-market expansion capital and buyout transactions in Asia with investment sizes typically ranging from USD40 million to USD150 million. The Venture Funds focus on transactions ranging from approximately USD5 million to USD30 million, typically targeting early to mid-stage investments in technology and high-growth companies with significant interests in Asia. |
